This is another easy pattern in my line of free dishcloth patterns. This cloth is smaller than I would like because I wanted to use up a partial ball of yarn. The next time I make this cloth I will be sure to cast on more stitches.

A fun and easy pattern to make.
Materials:
Size 4.5/US 7 kniting needles
1 ball Sugar and Cream worsted weight cotton
Gauge NI
Pattern multiple: 6 plus 1 plus 3 sts each side.
Stitch pattern:
1st row: (right side) *p1, k5; repeat from * to last st. p1.
2nd row: p1, *k5, p1; repeat from * to end.
Repeat rows 1 and 2
Cherry Blue Dishcloth:
Cast on 35 stitches and work 3 rows in garter stitch. (Knit every row.)
Next row: k3, pm (place marker) work 1st row of pattern to within last 3 sts of end of row, pm, work last 3 sts in garter stitch.
Work row 2 of pattern keeping first 3 and last 3 sts in garter stitch. Continue as established knit till cloth is square ending with row 2. Work 3 rows garter stitch cast off and weave in ends.
