A great pattern for using up bits of left over cotton we have in our stash

Materials:
Size 4.5 mm (US 7) knitting needles
Left over worsted weight cotton yarn main colour, contrasting colour.
Gauge NI
Pattern stitch:
Row 1: (RS) Purl
Row 2: knit
Row 3: using cc k2, *sl 1 with yarn in back knit 1 repeat from * to end.
Row 4: using cc * k1 sl 1 WYIf, rep from * end k2.
Row 5: k1 * yo, k2 tog; rep from * end k1.
Row 6: purl
Peekaboo cloth:
With main colour cast on 40 stitches begin pattern and work until square. Change colours as indicated carrying un used yarn up the side of your work. Cast off in purl. With cc and crochet hook crochet all around cloth.
This cloth may be a little bit loopsided but it sure makes a pretty cloth. You can block into shape but I don’t find this necessary to do with my cloths.
